Methodologies

ESRI NeA is ISO 9001:2000 certified proving high efficiency in quality, responsibility, resource, and analysis measurement. ESRI NeA has already achieved the Capability Maturity Model® (CMMI) certification Level 2, the most widely used model for software development worldwide, to be the first GIS Company in the MENA region to be CMMI certified. CMMI is an improvement model, defined by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and implemented with noted success by numerous software developing organizations worldwide, working in all types of application areas.
Being CMMI and ISO Certified entails that quality is an integral component in every phase of any solution we provide our clients with. At ESRI NeA all our solutions utilize standard procedures and templates. Our formal project management methodology is standards based and well structured, allowing efficient management of the scope, requirements, and resources. In terms of our software development methodology, we adopt the Iterative Incremental method since it ensures that requirements are managed and met effectively with minor deviations.

Another key methodology we employ is that of Joint Application Development (JAD). The concept focuses on the joint interaction between both the technical team and client throughout the process of collecting user requirements, and recognizing problems that are currently faced with the existing systems. This helps users recognize how the developed system could enhance their daily activities. All this serves to enrich the final product and overall service experience delivered to the client.
